Friday night Scott and I took the kids to the fair. We ate some fair food for supper, nachos, burgers, funnel cake, YUMMY! I was so good on Saturday to make up for the bad food.
We looked at the exhibits and saw the socks that my MIL knitted. She received first place for both pair. They were so pretty! I know absolutely nothing about knitting so I have no idea what standards they were looking for.
We walked around all the animals; pigs, goats, cows, chickens, rabbits, and llamas. The llamas excited Ethan so much. Emperor's New Groove may be Ethan's true favorite movie but I'm not sure. We got to the llamas and Ethan freezes with his mouth wide open. He screams at the top of his lungs "KING KUZCO KING KUZCO! Where have you been I have been looking everywhere for you". Then he drops to his knees and starts bowing to him with his arms outstretched. The llama he is worshiping is pure white and very pretty. It just stands there and looks at him.
While Ethan is doing that the rest of us walk up and down the rest of the llama's to look at them. As we come to each pen the llama's run to the back of their pen to keep away from us.
When Ethan is done worshiping the Emperor he walks by all the other llamas and talks to each of them. They all walk up to Ethan and let him pet them. Every single one of them. I was amazed. Apparently only Ethan was worthy enough to touch their glorious bodies. I don't know.
Scott took the opportunity to try to pet the pure white one when Ethan was. King llama took one step back. Scott reached into the pen a little further. King llama laid his ears back on his head and bared his teeth. Scott reached in a little further and one ear came up a little but llama reared his head back. Scott finally backed up so he wouldn't get spit on.
We had a little crowd around us by then because of Ethan's antics. They were all laughing at him, which didn't bother him, it just egged him on. Emma was embarrased though and just stood there by the stroller hiding herself.
Scott started in all over again with King llama and each time his hand would go in the pen the ears would go back and the teeth would come out.
I finally got the family away from the llamas, Ethan had to bow to the Emperor one more time before he would leave.
We rode one whole ride at the carnival. There was so many people that I didn't want to stay too long. I found out a couple days later that a man was arrested for checking out little girls. Girls Emma's age. He just stood there and watched them coming and going. A cop sat there and watched him for quite a while before deciding to get him out of there before he acted on some disgusting impulse.
Really, What Is Wrong With Some PEOPLE?
Granny isn't any better. I haven't heard if she has had her colonoscopy yet or not. I can't get any information from the hospital staff and I can't get a hold of my mom. I guess I am going to have to take my happy little butt over there on my lunch hour.
I did ok taking care of her when she was at home but I am having the hardest time making myself go to the hospital. I don't want to see here that way again. I know I need to go. I sat with her for 8 hours in the hospital that first day and from what mom has said she is still acting the same way and her pink color is gone. She is gray now. They have her on oxygen but it doesn't help.
She just doesn't have the will to live now. I am torn on how to feel right now.
Time to go to lunch.......
